Enthusiastic teacher seeks to work with a young mind

I've worked in the ESL (or related) field for a total of 8 years. I was a Foreign Language Expert in China for 3 years and am finishing my 4th year as a rater for the TOEFL exam. I am a student at Auburn University studying English Education. I am a rising senior and have over 3 years of education courses under my belt. I have a 4.0 grade point average, and studied for one semester at Oxford University in England. I love English, writing, and teaching, and I love helping students understand my favorite subjects!
My teaching style is very hands-on. I want my students to remember what they're learning because it is interesting, not just toss information out by rote. I think that it's very important to have fun while learning, so I try to make my tutoring sessions fun and engaging.

July 2011 I graduated from University of West Georgia in Carrollton with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education. I began substituting for the Heard County School System in August 2011. When I was in middle and high school, I served as a peer tutor. I guess you can say that I have always had a desire to teach.
Just as everyone has their own learning style, teachers have their own teaching style. I see my style as more hands on. When I create lesson plans, I like to think outside the box and find ways that motivate students in connection to their interests.
