Making A Difference

In May 2012, I received my bachelors degree in English with a Literature Emphasis and a minor in Writing. I graduated with a 3.6 g.p.a. (Cum Laude Honors.) Throughout college, I took various education courses that focused on educational philosophy and physiology, elementary and secondary concentrations, and students with disabilities. I was able to obtain 36 education credits and in 2009, I was admitted into the school of education at my university where I was able to engage in student teachings, researchers, and observations. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned my BS degree in Elementary Education. I student taught in first grade, and have taught for the last two years. My first year of teaching was at Eisenhower Middle School in Rockford, IL. I taught 7th and 8th graders Journalism; a class in which I built the curriculum for. My second year of teaching was at the same school teaching 6th grade English, Language Arts, and Science. A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently graduated from the University of Delaware and intend to pursue a Ph.D. in chemistry within the next few years. My major was in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry; I also focused on Theatre, Japanese, French, English, and Biology. I spent two semesters as a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry and held personal office hours for tutoring regularly. I have worked at a learning center teaching students of all ages. In addition, I tutored various subjects in high school including ESL.
