At the undergraduate level, I have a minor in Forensic Science which required me to take many science courses, including Chemistry and the like. I have taken both undergraduate and graduate level Statistics courses and excelled at both. I have been teaching for 21 years now (wow, that's gone by fast!) and I love every second of what I do. I have also been a tutor in the district for the past 9 years, tutoring every subject possible--math, English, Social Studies, etc. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to get to know students who don't take French and also I love to teach other subjects outside my own area. I love to work with children of any age. I have been volunteering for over 15 years helping wherever and whenever I can to help make the lives of children more enriched. I have two boys of my own (age 10 and 14) and have been successful in helping them achieve the best they can. I have been teaching kids as a substitute for many years and went back to school in my middle 30's to become a teacher. Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math. Therefore I can tutoring not only business in Accounting and also Math or language in Chinese.
I enjoy teaching one on one more then in a group class setting and I do enjoy teaching individual more then in a group setting. I do wish to teach "Chinese" as a personal language when I retire in the future if we don't have SS since I am a baby boomer (hope this is not true)

Teaching young people and seeing them succeed is such a reward. Many students find the conventional school setting difficult and work with greater success in a one on one setting. Getting to know the student and his or her learning style along with some background enables a tutor to create an atmosphere where the student will be most successful.
