I have years of excellent experience with analyzing, writing, and assisting others in academic as well as professional settings. I have done extensive research on various topics in Political Science and my experiences have taught time that there is never an end to learning, and there is no one single perfect answer to questions about natural or man-made phenomena.
Socratic, and lecture. It really depends on subjects. For example, case analysis in a political science or philosophy course can be more constructively learned through the Socratic method - that is, an open and inclusive discussion in the form of question and answer. Other subjects, such as psychology or geology may be best taught in the form of direct lectures with the opportunity to ask questions.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in all grade levels and in all subject areas. I have been accepted into a high degree Masters program but feel I need to have a job to justify the repayment(s) of additional student loans that would be needed to finish my MA. I have recently been a four county advocate for people with special needs as the Disabilities Program Navigator. I would still hold this position if funding had not run out. A Little Bit About Me...

As a master's level graduate in Criminal Justice, I have a varied and extensive background in many subject areas. At the undergraduate level, I have a minor in Forensic Science which required me to take many science courses, including Chemistry and the like. I have taken both undergraduate and graduate level Statistics courses and excelled at both. My current position as an Analyst for a legal publishing company also gives the skills necessary to teach proper grammar and writing skills. Teaching young people and seeing them succeed is such a reward. Many students find the conventional school setting difficult and work with greater success in a one on one setting. Getting to know the student and his or her learning style along with some background enables a tutor to create an atmosphere where the student will be most successful. A Little Bit About Me...

Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math. Therefore I can tutoring not only business in Accounting and also Math or language in Chinese.
I enjoy teaching one on one more then in a group class setting and I do enjoy teaching individual more then in a group setting. I do wish to teach "Chinese" as a personal language when I retire in the future if we don't have SS since I am a baby boomer (hope this is not true)

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style.... depends on the day, depends on the students, depends on the topic. One minute I can be dancing around the room and the next we're having a more serious discussion. My expectations are very high and I always push my students to do "just a bit better" than they think they can at that moment. At the end of the day, a lot of "just a bit better"'s add up to a whole lot!
