CRAMER LANGUAGE SERVICES: I ASSIST OUR FOREIGN RESIDENTS

I have tutored and taught English, writing, and ESL in a large variety of settings. I am currently teaching two compostion courses with Houston Community College but have time available in the early afternoon and evening. I have served in positions such as ESL teacher and ESL interventionist at Elsik High School in Houston, as well as, Bilingual Program Manager for the Louisiana Department of Education. In addition, I taught for over two years in Colombia, South America and speak Spanish. I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. However, I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to give them all equal opportunity to learn. It is not just about grades and assignments, that is just the means to an end, but it is about learning. In order for the students to learn, the teacher needs to be passionate about the students as well as the subject that is being taught. That will instill in the students a desire to learn and understand.
In having a science background, I have not only learned laboratory skills and reasoning skills, but I have learned how to increase efficiency, communicate in a clear manner, and write in a way that is direct and clear.
