My comments on tutoring Journalism : I worked as a lead news reporter for The Volunteer Times for a year, but have no formal collegiate Journalism training.

I have been tutoring both peers and high school students during my stay at Lincoln Memorial University. Students regularly asked me to proofread their papers, and parents frequently contacted me for help with high school students senior research papers. I have made consistent A's in all of my English classes, and I currently hold a Bachelors degree in English.

I currently work and teach in a private high school in the Knoxville area. I teach upper level math and science as well as middle school math and science. I like to accommodate to a child's personality and likes to help them to learn through distinct processes. When given the opportunity in the correct manner, children can learn most of what is put in front of them. By using example catered specifically to certain children, they are able to connect to the tutor as well as the subject. As a tutor, I am kind, laid-back and patient. Younger kids seem to gravitate to me, while the older kids relate to me.
Coming from a family with no prior college education, I made it a point to not only graduate from a four-year university but to work as hard as I could to be the best at what I do.
