Not only do I love to teach and help students learn, I also enjoy helping students develop an appreciation for learning in general. The most gratifying experience while teaching is the look on a student's face, after hours of confusion, after they reach an understanding of the concept. The environment that I believe works the best is one that allows the student to have fun while learning; which creates a more positive environment for future learning. A Little Bit About Me...

When I begin tutoring a new student, my first objective is for us to get to know each other. The student will not be able to receive very much from me until he/she is comfortable with me. Once they feel that I care, they open up and the learning really begins! When I really get a feel for the personality and whatever particular challenges are unique for this person in this class, I am able to determine the best way to communicate the subject and improve the skills. I like to think outside the box to find the best way for that student to have that "got it" moment!

I have attended CFCC and FCCJ. I am currently attending Liberty University for my Bachelor in Education. I have been teaching for about 7 years and through that time I have learned an extensive amount not only through in-services and training classes, but through my colleagues. I feel very confident in my ability to reach children that feel that they just can't get it. I have two children of my own, which I homeschooled for a year.
