A Little Bit About Me...

As a teacher for six years and a physical therapy aide for one, I believe I have very good teaching skills. Not only did I have to teach students music and math, subjects I know students are uncomfortable with, I had to teach and motivate patients to do exercises while they were in pain. I have had many years of experience tutoring and teaching students in Kindergarten through 12th grade computers, math, English and reading. I also have taught these same grades many guitar, percussion and voice lessons. I am classically trained in the voice area and I have a math minor.
I am able to teach children of all ages and also am able to tailor my teaching style to the age I am teaching. Communication has always been an interest of mine so I pursued a journalism degree and spent many hours in education to be an adept communicator through the written word. I also enjoy the person-to-person communication that is involved with the journalism profession. I have expanded my skills and knowledge through pursuing a creative arts career, as well.
