I have always wanted to be a teacher and love working with children of all ages. My areas of study were middle school science and social studies but I believe in my academic ability to help children across many aspects of learning. I am a graduate of Virginia Tech, with an interior design degree. I have taken many english and science classes. Also writing is a strong area of mine, since I have had to write many papers and essays. I worked at Blacksburg Daycare and Child Development Center for 4 1/2 years. There I taught all ages from 6 weeks to preschool. I also have children of my own.

A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless. I believe that one should teach using a variety of methods because all kids do not learn the same way and each individual method shows something new each time. I believe that all kids can learn so much if they work as hard as they can and put forth maximum effort. I think it is very easy to learn/teach using as many hands on examples as possible.
