I have tutored students in a variety of math and science subjects all throughout my high school career. Algebra was one of the more common subjects i have tutored in the past. I am an environmental engineering major so i work with these subjects everyday and have mastered each level. I also wish to pursue a math and chemistry minor within the next two years.

I took AP Calculus BC my senior year and revieced an A- however that was both Calculus I and II in the same course. I struggled with Calculus II, but am very good at Calculus I. I plan to skip a semester of Calculus I in college because of how well I already know it. Teaching new concepts, practice applying the new material, review, and more practice of the material to solidify the concepts. I have helped my classmates and have had one official student as of this summer. I like to get a sense of what the student already knows and try to build on that knowledge. I have tutored on a volunteer basis with the Holyoke Tutor/Mentor Program for more than a year. I have also tutored privately. My experience has been with adults, however, I would like to add experience working with secondary school students.
