As a current graduate student I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal about the effective techniques and skills it takes for one to succeed within the classroom. Working with younger children and teens has always been fun for myself. I think it's good to get to know the student on somewhat of a personal level. This allows for you to understand how the student thinks and learns, since every student learns differently. I am a very patient person and I try to find the best possible learning approach. I recently graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Civil Engineering in December 2009, which has given me a very strong mathematical background. The school of Education in North Carolina prepared me well. I am above all flexible. My license reads K-8 and I have taught Art K-6 for a year, Second Grade for two years in NC. Then in 2001 I taught Title One reading in TN for a year then Fourth grade for three more years.
