I enjoy teaching very much. I think a strength trying to use a student's active content or prior knowledge to connect to material. My attempts are always to make the student feel empowered by the education process. I love working with both children and adults. I think that everyone has the ability to learn ,but teaching styles need to be geared toward the individual. Some seem to learn more through doing while others from lecture. Everyone has the potential to learn just at different paces. I am a recent graduate of Alabama State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Graduating magna cum laude at the top of my class with a 3.65/4.0 grade point average, I was always sought after for help in those tough curriculum classes like physics, chemistry, genetics and molecular biology. In the spring of 2006 I began formally tutoring general and organic chemistry to college juniors and seniors for the physical science/chemistry professor at my university.
