I'm a 2009 Illinois Central College (ICC) graduate majoring in Engineering Science. I have taken almost all the math classes offered at ICC, and for the whole year of 2008, I have worked as a math tutor with the ICC Math Lab in the East Peoria Campus. My teaching style is one which engages the student actively in the learning process. I have used the "popcorn" technique in a classroom, where I call out "popcorn", then call on someone at random. This ensures that each student in the class is following, or else they lose their turn to read.
