After finishing my Masters Degree in Education I taught one year in a private school then opened my own business tutoring primarily homeschool students during the school year. The students I have worked with are primarily ages 11-18, but my experience with my own children includes the primary grades. I have tutored most subjects including reading, writing, science, history and math (through algebra). I believe that children are born smart. As a Weber State graduate, I majored in Zoology and minored in Chemistry. Even though science has always been a passion of mine, I am very knowledgeable in math. During my undergraduate studies, I have gained even more experience and improved on my grammatical skills. I had the opportunity to be an Anatomy lab instructor for three semesters. I completed my BA in English at the University of Utah in two and a half years in order to begin work on my MA in English as quickly as possible. In the half year between completing my BA and beginning my MA, I was a substitute teacher in the Jordan School District in Sandy, UT. I have just finished my first year in the English MA program at Boston College where I was also a tutor at the Connors Family Learning Center.
