Experience Summary
As an undergraduate student at Utah State University, I spent two years working as a Undergraduate Teaching Fellow, a Teacher's Assistant, and a Supplemental Instructor. I taught labs and assisted students with understanding information in the subject areas of Microbiology, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology. I held review sessions, created tests and quizzes, and met with students individually or in groups to answer questions, review tests, or improve study habits.
Teaching Style
I love teaching because I myself am an avid learner. I have a passion for the subjects I teach and hope that I can instill this same passion in those I teach. I believe that every student can learn the information taught in class, it's more a matter of finding out how each individual student learns. When information is presented in the right way (for each individual), it can make all the difference. What I find most rewarding is when a student begins to grasp the information and is able to apply it and perform well. I enjoy the challenge of teaching to appeal to many learning styles. I am patient, very approachable, and considerate. I strive to see students succeed.
