Becoming a teacher has been one of my life's passions. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Adolescent Education and Mathematics and am currently working on a Master of Arts degree in Education, Curriculum, Instruction, and Mathematics. I have experience in teaching an array of mathematics classes from 7th grade Math up to Calculus and College Algebra. I also have skills in literacy and writing due to the extensive time and effort I have put in for my masters program. I have alot of experience working with people with disabilites from severe Mental Retardation, Cerebal Palsy,Autism, Learning Disability and Mental Heath. I have obtained a degree from Herkimer College in applied science with a minor in education. I also went to Mohawk Valley Community College for two years to obtain a degree in Nursing. As a volunteer with the Salvation Army I have spent many years volunteering with children, teaching Sunday School and Band. I have always loved numbers and they are my passion. As a student at FMCC I was able to pursue my goal and assist others along the way. I tutored mainly math at FMCC for about 1.5 years while still attending school, but also tutored in a variety of subjects ranging from english to science to business to accounting. I currently am tutoring a friend with an accounting class. I took math, science, and english classes in which I recieved high grades in all. I teaching and working with student of all ages. I am a professional singer, actress and dancer who has taught throughout my 15 year career. I truly love teaching, especially in a one-on-one or very small group setting. Currently I teach private lessons in: piano, voice and acting. I also teach small-group: Piano, Acting, Choir, Learn to Read Music, Creative Movement, Pilates, Boot Camp, Kick Boxing. I also work with the local home school community as a 'tutor' for math and English. I believe in mentoring. I graduated high school in 2000 with a local diploma and then went on to college at Utica School of Commerce. I graduated in 2002 with an Associated Degree as an Administrative Specialist. I have worked at a few different jobs and just went back to college again at Utica School of Commerce and got my certificate degree as a Medical Office Assistant. When helping others, I do it two ways. I tell them how to do it and guide them through it. Other times, I show them how to do it. However, I do not do it for them.
