A Little Bit About Me...

I have currently worked at the Herkimer ARC for the past eight years. I have alot of experience working with people with disabilites from severe Mental Retardation, Cerebal Palsy,Autism, Learning Disability and Mental Heath. I have obtained a degree from Herkimer College in applied science with a minor in education. I also went to Mohawk Valley Community College for two years to obtain a degree in Nursing. I am a very caring open individual who loves to help people. I am looking for part time employment to start a college fun for my three year old daughter. I have years of experience training new employess at the Herkimer ARC.

I believe in mentoring. It does take a few times for the student (young and old) to understand that I cannot teach them anything. I can present information to them and attempt to inspire them to learn, but they are the ones who ultimately teach themselves.
