My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am a certified Spanish Teacher in TEXAS. I currently teach Spanish I (high school credit) and AP Spanish (advanced placement for high school and college credit). I have 13 years teaching experience and have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

I incorporate reading, writing, speaking and listening, so that all areas of the language are equally developed. I like to use visuals and flashcards to represent Spanish vocabulary to enhance natural learning. I use the phonetic alphabet to help with correct pronunciation so that students may pronounce and learn words on his/her own once the alphabet sounds are mastered. Ultimately, I will modify sessions depending on the kind of learner and area of need that is specified by each student.
I have taught Spanish in Texas for 13 years. I have lived out of the country in Mexico and attended the Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico and CEDIE language school in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. A Little Bit About Me...

Experience tutoring math to elementary age children through adults in college. I have earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, and I am working on completing pre-med requirements at the University of Houston Clear Lake. I have completed 15 credit hours in Biological Sciences with a GPA of 4.0. I also have two years of experience as a community mentor, working with elementary school children.
I enjoy teaching children. I normally have a very relaxed style, but I emphasize setting goals and completing the task at hand. I gain a great deal of personal satisfaction in helping others learn. My teaching style conforms to the learning style of the individual. Since no two people learn the same it is impossible to tutor the same way. I feel that once I have found a way to spark their interest and how they learn, it is much easier to help them acheive their goals and grasp the material. Many times the main goal is to teach the student how to learn, as many do not understand that function. Once they understand how they learn it becomes fun and easy.
