I started tutoring students middle and high school prior to graduating college. I have taught part-time college students at various institutions since 1996. I have been tutoring for over 10 years in all types of Math, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus etc. I have also been tutoring in Chemistry and Physics. I solve problems. I am a bioanalytical chemist and biomedical engineer. This profession requires using math, statistics, biology and chemistry at a high level on a daily basis as I develop products that improve healthcare. I have taught or tutored science and math from elementary to post-college level for over 25 years in diverse settings.

Coming from the influence of a family of educators, I realized early on my affinity towards teaching. In addition to my college degrees, I have been very involved in the 'summer camp' experience. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always found that the best teachers are the ones who are able to explain the same concept in a variety of ways, so this is what I seek to do when teaching. I also attempt to not only teach a student how to do a problem, but also to gain a "big picture" view of the concept being taught; i.e., I want the student to be able to not only apply the concept to problems of the same type that he/she does in homework, but also to related problems that he/she might not have previously seen.
I have always been gifted in mathematics, and I feel that is is my duty to help others achieve the success that I have. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a full time babysitter during my sophomore year of college. I sat for a 1st grader and 5th grader. I would help them with their homework and study for tests. The first grader was having a hard time with his subtractions and I tutored him in math.
