I also have a spouse that is deaf and has taught me alot as well so I have hands on experience as well. Learning is more effective if it is fun and relevant.

I'm currently working at a psychiatric treatment facility working with teenagers with behavioral, psychological, and emotional problems as a counselor. My job is to help these unfortunate teenagers and providing helpful advices to help them coping/improving their treatment. This mean that I actually interact and talk to each teen and get to know them in person. In doing so, I'm able to gain better insight on how to help them more affectively and personally.

I received my undergraduate degree in Spanish from UNC Charlotte in 2010 in Spanish and Latin American Studies. During my undergraduate career I traveled to Costa Rica for a total of 6 months as part of a study abroad program. After completing my undergraduate degree I returned to Costa Rica for 5 months to teach English at a language institute. In May of 2013 I graduated with my Master's degree in Spanish from UNCC. During my Master's I was a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant.
