I recently graduated from college with a BS in Mathematics. Upon entering college, I was a Biomedical Science major, so along with my math skills, I am also experienced in the sciences. I have learned grammatical skills through writing essays and lab reports. As a high school senior, I tutored younger students in math and science. While I haven’t had an actual tutoring job in college, I constantly find myself helping others in their math and science related courses.

I am patient and easy-going, but also determined and driven to help your child succeed. As a recent graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University with a B.S. in Biology, I plan on using the degree in order to pursue a higher education but also to teach. I not only graduated with a 4.0 GPA but I also held multiple leadership positions such as VP of the Golden Key Honour Society, a mentorship role for Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity, received scholastic awards, and was granted the opportunity to work as a TA for classes such as Bio I, Vertebrate Form and Function, and Evolutionary Bio. This experience not only gave me a better understanding of the material but also provided the opportunity to help other students become more successful. Through that experience I learned and truly understand that teaching is about mutual empowerment.
My main goal in teaching is not to have the student simply memorize the necessary content in order to achieve an A in the course but it is rather ... read more

I like to teach by example and immersion. So much of what schools preach today is rote memorization, and to a certain degree, this cannot be avoided. But whenever possible, I like to try and find real world applications and demonstrations to get my lessons across to my pupil.
Throughout high school and college, I've always excelled in my school work. I was president of the math club and often tutored my peers during my spare time. The University of Florida has provided me with a well rounded education, and I feel myself knowledgable in many areas, from languages like french, spanish and hindi, to the sciences like chemistry, biology, and physics. I'm also very familiar with writing term papers.
