My comments on tutoring Biology : I have a dual major PhD in Ecology and Horitulcure, I have taught Biology at Oregon State University and have many years experience being a tutor and teaching biology and environmental science.

I have been a teacher/tutor for many years. My degree is in Ecology and Horticulture and I have taught Biology at Oregon State University. I've been a teacher's unofficial little helper since I was in Elementary, helping the students of my class that the teacher simply didn't have the extra time to help. From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. My main goal in teaching is not to have the student simply memorize the necessary content in order to achieve an A in the course but it is rather to impart the student with an understanding of the underlying concepts so that they may build upon this knowledge. Understanding the coursework will allow the student to excel in other synthetic classes and enable them to manipulate, construct, and critically think regarding the subject.
