A Little Bit About Me...

I had the opportunity of tutoring college algebra and basics of statistics during 2003 and 2004 while pursuing my Master of Business Administration degree at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. Also had the opportunity of being teacher assistant for geometry during my Junior year while taking my bachelor degree. Currently I manage a retail store for a Fortune 100 company and I just finished a concentration on Finances to add to my MBA degree.
I certainly strive for having my students to understand the concept of the subject, rather than memorizing every step of a given process. Understanding the basics will give you the tools to solve or analyze a problem for a possible solution and that will lead you to more successful results.

A Little Bit About Me...

I received my B.S. in physics and went on to work at a Community College tutoring math. I enjoyed this work immensely and received excellent reviews from the students. While working at the college I also tutored middle school and high school students privately. In High School I took a class on Society and the Child which involved tutoring english and math two days a week for a fourth grade class. I plan on returning to school in 2010 to obtain a Masters in Secondary Educaton, with my focus on Math and Science Education.
I have found that there is nothing so rewarding as that moment when a subject 'clicks' for a student. By staying positive and adaptive I believe it is possible to guide students to finding solutions on their own. A Little Bit About Me...

As an engineering student, I scored A's in 4 Quarters of Calculus, 3 Quarters of Engineering Physics and 1 Quarter each of: Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Static and Dynamics. Throughout college, I often tutored other classmates in math, physics, and statics and dynamics to which they and other upper-classmen would marvel. "wow, you really understand this don't you?". My 64-year old Physics professor pulled me aside one day and said I should major in Physics because in his 40+ years of teaching in Germany and the US he had never seen anyone who understood it as I do. A Little Bit About Me...

I returned to school part time in 1998 to work on a degree in physics. As a non-traditional student I was in my 30's, a single parent (three daughters), and working full time as an industrial sales rep. In 2005 I graduated with honors from New Mexico Tech with BS degrees in Physics/Astrophysics and Basic Sciences. Upon graduation I took a position as an instructor, grades 5-12, at a science camp in California for 2 semesters. For the past 2 1/2 years I have been employed as an Astronomer/Observer with M.I.T.'s Lincoln labs LINEAR program, searching for near Earth asteroids. I have wide experience and interests in both math and science. I've also taught undergraduate physics classes, substitute taught K-12, and tutored in a number of different situations.
