I am an honors high school student and I have never made anything below a B in any class. My specialties are math and English, being that I receive the highest grade in the two subjects. Then, we began to work through areas where she was having the worst issues. I focused on those and explained things to where she could better understand. I had her do homework then we went over it the next time we met. At the end, I had her take a comprehensive test over areas we had covered that helped to prepare her for the test. I like to be interactive- when I'm teaching I prefer to work through a problem with a student together the first time, letting the student more or less watch me. The second time through, we approach the problem with a little more weight placed on the student. The third time I ask the student to attempt the problem on his/her own, and I'm available for questions.
