My strongest area of expertise in teaching is reading. I have taught it for years. I have come to the conclusion through both personal experience, observation of other master teachers and through current educational research that it is most necessary to teach reading and math daily in a systematic manner while exposing the students to a learning rich environment(a classroom reading corner full of books is ideal for this). Research shows that a child needs 100 exposures, repetitions of for example the word “fox” to learn how to read it and make it their own. I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2007 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering within a span of 3 years. I spent the next year earning a Master of Science in Medical Physics degree from the same institution and I am currently a medical student at the Medical College of Georgia.
