I believe all children have the ability/aptitude to learn the information given to them, but it's the way that information is presented that will stay with your child forever. I feel it is my job to not only present this same information to your child in a new way, but to, in essence, teach your child how to learn and teach themselves. My teaching style is standard in the extent that I believe everyone can learn specific material, they just have to figure out a way to relate to the material. Growing up I was tutored by my parents with the style of trial and error. I believe this works only with certain individuals, while others may require a step by step explanation in order to understand the process. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always wanted to teach but enjoyed the research that was available working for a large chemical company. I had the opportunity to teach Organic while I was working and enjoyed it but the time constraints were tough. I am now retired from industry and will be teaching in the Chemistry Department at the University of West Florida. I am very enthusiastic about chemistry and that comes through in my teaching and tutoring. I have made a very good living doing something I love to do and that is reflected in my teaching style.
After finishing my PhD I went to work for Monsanto as an organic analytical chemist. I started tutoring math when I attended Faulkner State College. I then attended the University of South Alabama where I tutored math and physics. I have tutored all levels of math and also tutored not only physics, but lab activites as well.
I have always been a quick learner when it comes to mathematics. It is something that comes almost natural to me. With that said, I understand that this is not the case for everyone. I feel that a good majority of people hate math because they don't understand math, and because they don't understand math right away, they don't try to understand it. I had a wise professor once tell me, "Math isn't difficult; there is no such thing as difficult math. It just seems difficult because you haven't learned it yet". I think math can be easy for anyone, they just have to learn it first.
