A Little Bit About Me...

Having always enjoyed Math from an early age, I decided to pursue a Math degree and use my passion for Math to educate future generations. Having graduated in the Spring of 2007, I've taught High School Math for the past 3 years within Escambia County.
I believe all children have the ability/aptitude to learn the information given to them, but it's the way that information is presented that will stay with your child forever. I feel it is my job to not only present this same information to your child in a new way, but to, in essence, teach your child how to learn and teach themselves. Almost all Math processes can be broken down into steps, and putting those steps together, like climbing stairs, will get your child to the top.

I have one BS in Electrical Engineering, and while an upper-class student tutored younger students. As a senior, I also tutored Intro to EE students on request 2-3 times per week. I currently teach Leadership basics to enlisted Marines during the week. I have a heavy math and science backgrounds based on my major, but also have self-studied psychology, history, and technical writing. I can tutor in almost any subject at the high school level, and engineers or math/science courses at the collegiate level.
In my military experience, I see all sorts of learning styles and ability levels. I am able to break down hard concepts of math/science/engineering so that regardless of learning style, we can work towards understanding. I have always wanted to teach but enjoyed the research that was available working for a large chemical company. I had the opportunity to teach Organic while I was working and enjoyed it but the time constraints were tough. I am now retired from industry and will be teaching in the Chemistry Department at the University of West Florida. I am very enthusiastic about chemistry and that comes through in my teaching and tutoring. I have made a very good living doing something I love to do and that is reflected in my teaching style.

I am a BE-Electrical Engineer (Telecom Major). I Graduated in 2007 from PAF-KIET, an excellent technical Institute in Pakistan. In my four years as a student, I tutored a number of junior students in Engineering courses and tutored A & O Levels Students in advanced Maths and Physics.

A Little Bit About Me...

I started tutoring math when I attended Faulkner State College. I then attended the University of South Alabama where I tutored math and physics. I have tutored all levels of math and also tutored not only physics, but lab activites as well.
I have always been a quick learner when it comes to mathematics. It is something that comes almost natural to me. With that said, I understand that this is not the case for everyone. I feel that a good majority of people hate math because they don't understand math, and because they don't understand math right away, they don't try to understand it. I had a wise professor once tell me, "Math isn't difficult; there is no such thing as difficult math. It just seems difficult because you haven't learned it yet". I think math can be easy for anyone, they just have to learn it first.
