After finishing my PhD I went to work for Monsanto as an organic analytical chemist. My speciality was the use of mass spectrometry to understand organic chemical reactions and the products and impurities that were formed. While working for Monsanto I also taught College chemistry classes (Organic I and II and the labs). I have over forty publications and forty presentations. I am the author of two books on Organic Analytical Chemistry. I was also honored by being appointed a Science Fellow in Monsanto. My style of teaching mathematics, science and Japanese is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. It is only through solving problems (for mathematics and science) and practice (for Japanese) that this knowledge becomes ingrained in a student so that they are confident to move forward.
I began tutoring high school and college students in 1986. I have 6 children of my own who I have raised and taught science and mathematics.
