I have been educating people since 1987. I began in music education, which I taught successfully for 9 years, and also taught piano lessons. I then worked in special education for 1 year as an educational technician, where I tutored math, reading, and students with severe disabilities. I continued on a transitional certificate teaching elementary grades two and four, and most recently have taught post-secondary medical assisting students at a post secondary institution as well as teaching night courses in adult education in medical terminology and medical transcription. I had great success in all fields among my students. I believe that learning is ongoing throughout life, and that we all differ in our learning styles. As passionate of a student as I am, I equally enjoy being an active part in another’s understanding and learning towards a new and challenging subject. I love working with high school and junior high students. I understand that the struggle and challenge of learning new material can be so enormously overwhelming and difficult for some it can be deemed impossible. I primarily focus myself on patience, empathy, and comfort.
