I taught an Introductory Geology lab for 2 years. I have been tutoring out side of that for the last year or so. I have tutored elementary students all the way up to college students. While an undergraduate at Colorado State, I taught various levels of chemistry laboratories for 4 semesters, which included both teaching credits and paid work. I spent one year as a graduate student at the University of Michigan in which I taught general chemistry recitation and a laboratory section. I also was involved in a class that was designed to educate future professors on the field. I spent one semester tutoring various math levels at the Community College of Denver. I believe that I have learned proper use of the English language through authoring a journal article and writing my master's thesis. I am a graduate of the University of Miami holding two bachelor degrees, BS in Communications focusing on Film Production and Marketing and a BS in English focusing on Creative Writing. I own my own science consulting firm and like to dedicate a certain percentage of my time to education and public outreach projects including teaching, mentoring, and tutoring. I have enjoyed each of my teaching and tutoring roles very much. Teaching young people is particulaly rewarding as it provides the opportunity to motovate and make a positive impact on the lives of people who have a long future to give back to society. I have over 37 years experience managing peoply in Supply Chain management and material acquisition. In this role I designed and wrote courses. Using Power Point presentations I taught courses in my field to over 100 students in classes as small as ten to as large as fifty. I also tutored children for two years in the Leon County literacy Volunteer program and one year in the ESOL program. I enjoy teaching and helping young people.
