I love working with children. I believe that all children can learn, but each child learns in a different way. In order to help a student, you must find out how they learn. You also must find their passion. With this information (passion and learning style), you can help any student succeed. Many of my students have been considered as slow, but once I began working with them, I realized that they just lacked the basic skills. I begin by observing the person. In which areas are they confident and strong? In which areas are they fearful and using avoidance? I then find a bridge from their place of confidence to their place of fear and coax them across until they are happily skipping across.
