As a former computer instructor, I can't tell you how much I miss teaching. Teaching was the one career in my life where I felt completely fulfilled. I truly love sharing my knowledge and being able to teach others. In addition to teaching, I am also a lifelong student. I have a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, an Associates Degree in Website Design and I am working towards an Associates Degree in Computer Programming. As a graduate from UNC Charlotte, I was blessed with the opportunity to earn a B.A. in English, as well as a professional certification in techncial writing and editing, which has afforded me both knowledge and experience in both journalism and technical media. In addition, I have acquried extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers, as well as conducting articles which were seen by more than 30,000 subscribers nationwide at my previous publication
It is my belief that every student yearns to acquire an education. Accordingly, it is the responsibility of the instructor to find that spark and create a learning regimen geared towards that students specific method of learning. I am a mother of 3 children who are all very successful students. My eldest will graduate a semester early from college this month. My middle child is a junior in college and my youngest child is a senior in high school who will be entering college next fall. I speak of my children because I have helped them whenever they have had problems with their studies. When my older two were in elementary school, I was a coach for their Odyssey of the Mind teams. I pride myself on my understanding of grammar and am very good with math as well. I tutored elementary school students as a part-time job in college and later tutored students in my son's class.

I strongly believe in allowing the student to learn through their own will and with their own techniques, I try to just be the vessel that allows them to get to this point. I have worked in Montessori type schools where learning is a self-discovery and a journey. I try to find a way to make the subject interesting in a specific way for the student to allow them to want to learn, and getting excited about succeeding.
I studied Art History at Florida State University, which required a number of essay and extensive seminar classes, which taught me different ways to complete 10-20 page papers. I have worked teaching children in many different environments, in a preschool, Boys and Girls club, and at their homes. I have worked with children all ages from one to fifteen, with language and basic math skills.
