I have always loved learning and helping others to learn. I earned a BS in Psychology in college so I would have a better understanding of how the mind works and learns. A Little Bit About Me...

At St. Andrews Presbyterian College, I enjoyed helping fellow classmates write essays and found that my skills in English were immensely useful in all classes. I took a job working at the school library and was paid to help students with research and writing. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught 4th grade for 5 years in the Rock Hill School District from 1991-1996. After I completed my Master's degree, I worked for 3 years as an Elementary Guidance counselor. I enjoyed both experiences and missed the field once I was out of it. In 1999, my husband took a job in California and I did not continue teaching. I have had a variety of work experiences since then but still have the ability and desire to help children learn.
I enjoy watching children succeed and believe that all children can be successful if they are taught in a way that matches their learning style and capabilities. As the mother of a child with developmental delays, I have hands-on experience working with a special learner.
