A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very caring teacher. I love to use humor and encouragement in the hopes that the students will feel inspired to continue and flourish in their writing, even after our time together is over. I believe in children and their ability to acheive anything, and try to relay that message to them in a fun and patient way. I love to see the spark ignite in the eyes of someone who has achieved something they didn't know they could.
Although I have worked mostly in Film and Television since graduating from University, I returned to the University of LaVerne in Athens, Greece in 2004 to tutor foreign students in essay writing and to help hem with their entrance exams. I worked there part-time (3 days a week) for 2 years. I continued tutoring 2 students privately for another year. In 2009 I tutored after-school English at DeAnza Middle School in Ventura for approximately 6 months.

A Little Bit About Me...

Interlochen Arts Academy unlocked the artist within me. Their educational styles and values continue to inspire me as an educator. Hope College and continuing education furthers me with a variety of tools to design curriculum. Versatility together with concentrations in both Painting and Clay, an appreciation for the liberal arts, diversified cultural environments, and vivid discourses have guided me to point out new directions for my students.
