A Little Bit About Me...

As a former computer instructor, I can't tell you how much I miss teaching. Teaching was the one career in my life where I felt completely fulfilled. I truly love sharing my knowledge and being able to teach others. In addition to teaching, I am also a lifelong student. I have a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, an Associates Degree in Website Design and I am working towards an Associates Degree in Computer Programming. One thing I learned about teaching is that I never fail to learn something new, whether it be from a challenging question a student asks, or insight from a student that puts a new idea into my perspective. I think it is best to help a student understand concepts and establish steps to attack a problem. I do not simply give them the answers. I encourage them to think for themselves and give them hints where needed. I think it is important for them to have some easy work to succeed with and build confidence. Then we can move on to the harder stuff with confidence that they can figure it out. I truely care about my students and want them all to succeed.
