In college, I was a peer tutor in Math, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. I have sub-taught for CUSD 5, and CUSD 87, for 3 years. I have a Illinois Type 09 Certification, which is currently valid in McLean County. I have good grammar skills, and very good mathematical skills. I have taken almost all the math classes offered at ICC, and for the whole year of 2008, I have worked as a math tutor with the ICC Math Lab in the East Peoria Campus. While earning my degrees, I was inducted into a honor society with emphasis on helping the engineering students in our department in several way. Our focus was working with companies for future jobs and offering free tutoring every week for all computer and electrical engineering courses that were junior level and below. My strengths are in teaching lower level math and statistics to students who don't "get" math. I have an easy-going, patient personality, and I firmly believe there is no such thing as a bad question. I am good at breaking math down to it's most basic level, and going through every step to ensure that you don't get lost.
