My current job is working with children who have cognitive disabilities and supporting their families. I graduated from Prince George's Community college with an Associate's degree and from Bowie State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am currently enrolled in a Master's program for counseling.

As a tutor, I review previous test, quizzes and work with the student to see where the "disconnect" lies. Most students are very capable, they just need someone to explain the material in a way they understand. Some students are visiual learners, other kinetic learners or they learn by doing. As I understand how the child learns and ask questions to see "why" the student chose the particular answer, I am able to see the problem and use a different teaching style for tutoring purposes.
