A child's imagination is my lesson plan

I've been fascinated with computer programming since I was 8 and found a book about Fortran in my grandma's encyclopedia set. Our school had a handful of computers but no programmers. There was a single book in the library that I had checked out constantly until the librarian finally just let me have it when I graduated 8th grade. I went to college and began to learn more and finally met the mentors that were so important to my journey. I have a degree in Computer Science and I've been employed as a programmer since 2002, including time in the US Air Force doing 3D flight sims and the medical technology field. As a Cal Poly graduate with a BS in Computer Science, I have had to master most math and computer science course material. My experience is teaching math to mostly older teens and young adults. In the professional world, I have trained all levels of employees on various computer systems (authoring, programming, operating systems, etc.). The training has taken the form of one-on-one, stand-up before a group, and creating online courses for "on your own" classes.
I believe that most subjects are not difficult to master. Most problems come from "under learning" the subject. I am a teacher who has learned through experience. I went from college to Kenya to teach in an international school for 2 years. I learned a lot about teaching and culture during that time. When I returned I subbed for 2.5 years in which I learned more than all my schooling. During that time I earned a master's and have gone on to move in the direction that jobs have come.I taught SPED for a year, taught at an Outdoor School for a year, taught Kindergarten at a private school and worked with Autistic children as a one on one tutor. I was in demand, as even fellow tutors would seek my help. I was also requested by my physics professor to tutor physics in the Hard Math Cafe on campus.
