I began teaching in 2011 as a tutor at a local tutoring facility. I quickly realized that I had a gift for teaching and a passion for doing so. I continued to tutor at this facility for 3 years. My schedule remained full as I was in high demand once word got out that there was a good math tutor. I decided to leave the tutoring facility in order to pursue my artistic passions through music. Shortly after leaving, though, I got some phone calls from the parents of previous students asking if I would still teach their children. After some thought, I obliged and began tutoring privately. I get along well with everyone, and I am eager to share my knowledge with all willing to accept it.

While an undergraduate at Colorado State, I taught various levels of chemistry laboratories for 4 semesters, which included both teaching credits and paid work. I spent one year as a graduate student at the University of Michigan in which I taught general chemistry recitation and a laboratory section. I have always had a passion for helping youth. My experience has been primarily with elementary level students including reading, math, science, the arts and English. For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter.
