I seek to bring understanding to and appreciation for math.

I have been tutoring for over 5 years, both privately and with businesses. In regards to business, I have tutored at Glendora Learning Center (Math and Spanish tutor), the Azusa Pacific University Math Center (Math tutor), and the APU Learning Enrichment Center (Math and Spanish tutor). In regards to math, I am in progress of getting a bachelor's degree in mathematics. In regards to Spanish, I lived in Ecuador on two different occasions with a Spanish-speaking family.
Naturally, I aim to bring understanding to the problems/topics at hand. I also make sure to "fill-in-the-blanks" and bring understanding to any lacking pre-requisite knowledge.

I excelled in both math and English tracks in high school, and when they ran out of math classes I could take, I started on computers. Adept High School Mathematics Tutor. Algebra to Precalculus

When teaching a student, i try to help them understand the concept of the lesson before trying to explain the procedure. Once i have explained the concept to them, I show them how to work out the problem. Once I have walked them through a few problems, I let them try to do a couple on their own, until they get stuck. When they get stuck I try to reinforce the concept, while not actually helping the student work out the problem, unless it is neccesarry.
I am a recent graduate of Rosamond High School. During my time there I took math all the way up to AP Calculus. I took the AP test, and am awaiting the results. There, after two years of preparation, I decided to apply for admission to Cal State University Northridge.
