As an University of Iowa graduate I have always held education as a high value. I have dedicated my time to personally achieving excellence in education, as well as helping others do the same. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, a minor in Social Work and with a year and a half math experience at the college level. I believe the best way to learn is peer-to-peer learning. As an auto-didact I have the study skills necessary to regurgitate information as taught by the current institutional models. This is an uncreative and highly unnatural way to learn. There's a reason no major discovery was made in a classroom -- true innovation, discovery and learning is an organic process. I'm a student at Augustana College whose academic record has ranged from public school to home schooling to community college and and even private education. I've worked as a tutor for over 2 years at Black Hawk College, at the same time obtaining an Associates Degree. Then, from September 1998 to February 2005, I taught French and English at ISTT (Institut des Sciences et Techniques du Tertiaire), a private high school in Sokode. I like to make teaching more of an interaction than a talk. I love to teach all children.
