My teaching style is adaptive. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn. The approach to learning is what makes the difference. Being a mother, I love children and am very patient. I also know that kids have their own distinct personalities and I address each child as an individual person, with their own talents and ideas. There is nothing better than when a person's face lights up, young or old, when they "get it." Knowing you have impacted a person, potentially for the rest of their life, is a reward in and of itself. The pay that comes attached to it is the bonus.

I have worked as an elementary education teacher for 24 years. I attended East Carolina University and have completed 24 hours of graduate-level work towards a masters degree. I graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa as well as the education honor society. I have worked at a local tutoring center as well as having done private tutoring.
