After completing my Masters in Reading, I worked with the UNC-Chapel Hill Professional Development School supervising graduate students in Guidance, Psychology, and Education as well as teaching At-Risk readers in grades 1 and 2. My thing is repetition. Writing everything out and practice, practice, practice. Memorize to learn, not memorize just to pass a test. I want the kids to KNOW their material.

My comments on tutoring Reading : Lower Elementary Teacher for 15 years. I like to look for the special ways to meet the way a student learns. I believe each child learns differently.

I believe each child has her/his own way in which to learn. It is a process of discovery but my experience and intuition are pretty darn good. I like to combine humor with organization and accountability, on my part, the student's part and as well as the parents'.
I am a previous elementary school teacher, focusing mainly in the lower grades during my 15 years of teaching. Prior to that I was trained and taught Montessori Elementary, Grades 1-3. K-12 (+ some college) Math and English Tutor

I'm permanently a student. Before I joined the Air Force, while in the Air Force, and after I separated I've been school. Coincidentally, I separated to take the opportunity to go back to school. Currently, I'm studying engineering in North Carolina at UNCA and planning to transfer to the University of Colorado premiere engineering school. I know the process of getting into the Air Force (at least the top jobs) and being a college student particularly an engineering student.
