I am a naturally curious person who has always loved words, and spends a good deal of time reading and writing. Throughout my educational career, I have gained experience in reading, analyzing, and writing about various literary works; I enjoy debating the meaning of any written work, and writing about nearly any subject. Working with people, particularly children, has always been a passion of mine. Through the psychology program at Husson College I was able to gain a better understanding of human interaction, interpersonal relationships, as well as to obtain further insight on the foundation of the cognitive wiring in which we all possess. I also have a 6 year old daughter, who I have found to be the key to my drive in watching all children achieve academic success. I think the process starts with parents but branches out into the world of educators, and truly is a battle that can be won as long as there is always a core group of people committed to each child's success in the classroom. As I worked toward my master's degree in English, I discovered not only a love for English and composition, but a love for teaching. I have taught for three semesters; two as a college composition instructor, and one as a women's studies co-instructor. I also supervised a tutoring center geared specifically toward first year college students, and tutored students in writing. I believe that each student learns in their own unique fashion.
