I graduated in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University, and taught fourth grade for 3 years. I relocated to accommodate my husbands job. As a certified and experienced classroom teacher, I have extensive experience teaching all subjects on a whole class and small group level. I have a lot of great resources and ideas to help students excel. I also teach piano and violin privately from my home. I attended Kent State University and procured a Masters in Counseling for the Elementary Children. My approach is democratic in that I ask the child for his/her input on what they like to study and learn too. Finding out a childs loves is important for a teacher. An example is: Going to the library to find books for students to read because it is something they enjoy as well as doing their assigned class work.
