Experience Summary
I have been an elementary teacher for over 21 years in Wisconsin,
Ohio, Arizona, and recently in Reno, Nevada. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling from Kent State and acquired this in order
to better serve the children in my classroom with their
needs.
I have taught all the subjects successfully and have also taught
Music, Art, Dance, and Drama to the children in my classes.
I have also worked as teacher to Learning Disabled children for
four years.
Teaching Style
I believe that our children hold the future of our world in their
hands and hearts and for this reason I have a deep desire to
assist them in learning all of their subjects as well as they
can.
My approach is democratic in that I ask the child for his/her
input on what they like to study and learn too. Finding out
a childs loves is important for a teacher. An example is:
Going to the library to find books for students to read because it is something they enjoy as well as doing
their assigned class work.
I use a balanced, patient, kind approach with children. They
respond best to this attitude.
