As a student at a small Jesuit Liberal Arts college, earning a Bachelors of Arts and Science in English and Biochemistry, I have come to fully understand the way in which each individual can and does influence the education of others. For more than five years, I volunteered as a religious education teacher for my church. I, though responsible for more than three hundred students on some occasions, discovered my passion for teaching. I developed creative ways to keep teenagers engaged and excited about the material. I took this enthusiasm and utilized it when I began to tutor high school and college students in algebra, calculus, chemistry, biology, and English. I believe each student is different and as such, each should be handled differently. My more than six years of tutoring experience provided me extensive background on students characters and approaches in better presenting the subject matter. At the end of the day, it is important that the student has learned and is ready in tackling subject topics.
Since I graduated with a BS in Environmental Science, I had been a high-school tutor for more than 6 years helping students in the subjects of Math and Science, specifically, Algebra, Geometry, Physics, and Biology.
