I began teaching at Hesperia Christian in 1995. First, I substituted and then taught part-time, two to four subjects a year: Advanced Math and Drama, 5 years; Biology, 1 year; and Advanced Drama, 3 years. When my son started seventh grade, I began homeschooling. I taught Earth and Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Grammar, Vocabulary, English Composition, British and American Literature, Geography, American and World History, Ethics, Social Studies, Government, Sign Language, and Bible. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, especially in a tutoring setting. Being able to work with a student in an environment where I can give them all of my attention really allows me to make a huge impact on them. I believe that in order for a student to learn, the student must gain confidence that he or she CAN learn. I'm a big believer of motivation and encouragement. Once the kids are motivated when they feel the bonding, learning success will be achieved in a faster speed.
