Since receiving my bachelor’s degree in 2007, I have been involved in teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I hold a certificate for teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) and am currently teaching in the Adult Education Program of our local community college. I also have done English tutoring for college students who wish to improve their English skills. I also tutor students in literacy and am working towards completing a certification in phonetic reading instruction.
I believe that proficient language knowledge and use is crucial to a person’s career development and every-day communication skills. I started out as a French Trainee at “Chinmaya International Residential School”, Coimbatore, immediately after I had completed my B.A. I had worked at the school for one Academic year (2004 -2005). I was teaching French as a Second Language for classes 5th to 8th. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a very strong background in writing. My experience includes my graduate research and thesis, news writing for a tv station, in addition to 6 years of writing for academia. I spent a semester in Pau, France and can tutor beginning to intermediate level students. I graduated with a 3.9 GPA in high school, college and graduate school.
I don't believe in giving a student the answers to their questions. Rather, I think it is important to help them find the answers themselves--understanding the process will enable them to perform on their own. For example, rather than editing a student's paper, I will go through it line by line and have them help me find the errors.
