I enjoy teaching and the think that every child has the ability to learn anything they want. Through my personal experience, I realize that some people have a harder time learning particular subjects than others. Being someone who has been tutored earlier in grade school, I know what kind of dedication it takes and how great the moment of success can be. I teach using a lot of paper and using many examples. Admittedly, I have no direct (structured) teaching experience. However, I have nearly five years of experience in the journalism field, and during that time I've mentored a number of fledgling college and high school journalists. And while journalism and political science are my two specialties -- given that I have degrees in both -- I also have a fair amount of expertise in the tangential fields of English and History. I do not have a particular teaching style because I don't believe that a single method works for everyone.
